This actually makes me WANT to try a fighting game, which is something of a "hey, are those flying pigs?" situation in and of itself. But God, it looks so awesome. Archer's 3D Unlimited Blade Works nearly made me cry with its sheer level of GAR. Shame this is only available in Japanese arcades, just proving that America never gets anything good. *pouts*

I've had work for the past six days straight, hence the lack of updates. My body also chose this time to be struck by a random, irritating virus, just when I couldn't go off work because I had to close. ADDITIONALLY, I covered other co-workers shifts three times, because they asked me and sounded like they really needed it. *sighs* Sometimes I think my parents raised me too well. I have my flaws, but in the end I'll always do the nice thing. Life would be so much easier if I was better at being selfish. At least all the extra time means my paycheck after the one I get Monday is going to be a little more generous. I've been wanting a Dooney and Bourke purse anyway.

I'm truly, truly sorry about the title of this chapter, but frankly it's going to take a stronger willed person than me to NOT go for the Across The Universe song with the most suggestive title when doing a theme based on, um...well, choose your own euphemism. =_____= Although I ended up sticking to the theme without having to resort to Archer..relieving his frustration. I'd thank God for this, but I have a feeling this was more the work of Satan.

And yes, I realize this is the second 30_lemons claim I've done, and Archer and Rin still have yet to actually have sex in any meaningful (i.e., lengthy and descriptive) way. Will fix that with chapter 3~!

New...Avatar...after..so...long...*GLEES OUT*

God, I freaking LOVE this show. Love, love, love, love. Hell, new season may even motivate me to write for Avatar again, something I have't done in over a year. Cut me some slack-I was distracted by Archer's sexy ass after all. If that isn't a good excuse, then what is?

Ahem.

Anyway, whole bunch of good stuff (although the Zuko/Mai moments made me a little queasy inside. But I think Zuko's flashback to Katara offering to heal him with the Spirit Oasis Water was a good sign), we finally get to see Ozai's face (and damn if it isn't half-bad. That stupid beard, however, has GOT to go. What is it with Fire Nation men and riduculous facial hair?). It goes without saying that my Earthbending Goddess of Snark, Toph Bei Fong, once again MADE the episode. If there was any justice in this world, there would be plenty of adorable Toph plushies for me to buy/cuddle. Sadly this is not the case, and I must console myself with Toph being the most awesome only metal-bending Earthbender EVER.

I did tear up at the scene with Katara and her dad Hakoda. It definitely hit very close to home for me. I saved the episode so my dad could watch it, but I don't know if I should let him see it, because of that scene. I don't think he'd react well.

It's raining right now-and in fact it started raining while I was waiting at a bus stop. With no cover. And no umbrella. And a bag full of goods that would melt when wet. And then the bus took half an hour to show up. Once I got to my transfer stop, THAT bus took fifteen more minutes to show up. Once again, no cover and it was still raining. Needless to say, I got completely soaked, and I think my jacket is still damp. If I manage to avoid catching a cold, it will be something of a miracle. While I did observe that blatent irony of it all, I wasn't in much of a mood to appreciate it. Thankfully, a hot bath did alot to restore my spirits, although the whole affair has me completely worn out. The bowl of shio ramen I hovered down beforehand helped a ton too~it was so hot, fatty (in a good sense), and delicious-the perfect meal for this weather. Mitsuwa is having their yearly Hokkaido Fest too, so I'll probably go by tomorrow and pick up some Hokkaido goods and fresh made croquettes. It's a shame I hate seafood-HF would be heaven for me if I actually liked it.

Oh, I also filled out the form thing for fsn_rating. I wanna get stamped for something (and I'm honestly not too sure how often people check out the comm), so I thought I'd mention it here so my fabulous f-list could vote. Why do I have this niggling fear everyone is going to say Dark Sakura? I knew I shouldn't have put "can hold a grudge for years if seriously provoked" as one of my weaknesses!

Uuuuuuuuguuuu~~~~. It is currently hotter than hell right now, and has been for the past week or so, which is why I haven't posted earlier. Yahoo says it's only 78, but Yahoo is a big fat liar who is currently NOT sweating out half their body weight right now like yours truly. It's been so bad lately I actually haven't gotten alot of sleep for the past few days-it's simply been to hot to do so. Times like these make me want to ask for AC for Christmas. @______@ Dad's always been against it, on the basis that it doesn't get hot often enough to warrant it (CHEAP OLD MAN!!!!), but if this heat wave keeps up, even he's going to crumble. Right now I'm dealing with a fan going full blast, lots of ice cold C.C.Lemon, and my choco-coffee popsticle sticks, once they finally freeze.

School's officially been in session for about a week now, which, of course, means my asshat plot!bunnies are up and swarming, now that I actually have important things to be doing and less free time. Frankly, the sleep-deprivation and mirage inducing heat aren't helping things any.

I haven't posted lately-it seems I just haven't had the energy nor inclination. It has been a pretty hectic week, and I sprained my ankle at work on top of everything else. When your job pretty much consists of standing up for hours at a time, this can be very painful. It's mostly fine now, but my Achilles tendon is still feeling pretty tender, so I'm being careful.

I think I did mostly okay on my finals. It's out of my hands now, at any rate.

I've caught up with Darker Than Black, at least up to episode 10. According to the animesuki forums (not the best of sources, but whatever) we should be getting Yin backstory around episode 14. MOAR YIN, PLZ.

Ordered a cute Archer x Rin doujinshi from jpqueen, which should be here in about four more days, since they're pretty reliable when it comes to that sort of thing. And hello, nekomimi!Archer always wins. ALWAYS.

Also speaking of Team Red/Black, ficrec for any Archer x Rin fans out there: this unnamed ficlet by annwyd is excellent. I really hope she writes more.

I'll be getting my paycheck Friday, too-a Very Good Thing(moreso than usual, I mean). Why, you ask? One word, friends.


Discworld.(Or, as Death would put it, "DISCWORLD".)


Yes, I finally, after all these years of putting it off, bought The Colour of Magic (An amusing if overly succinent summary of which can be found here0 8 days ago. Since then, I've bought eight more Discworld books, and will insatiably continue to devour more. Seeing as there are 36 in all, this is going to add up pretty quickly. Hence the necessity of getting more money. By far my favorite characters are Death and Rincewind, although there are many others I'm pretty fond of. Anyway, I really can't do a summary that'll do the series justice, so I'll just leave it to the wikipedia folks. This I will say: what I love about Discworld it's that it's fantasy with a nice healthy helping of snark-and well done snark at that- parodying everything under the sun, that nonetheless has it's moments of transcendence.

A book series just doesn't get much better than that. Now, to find the SkyOne adaptation of Hogfather.

Nrrgh...I'm so fucking tired from work. I feel like the only thing that's keeping my brain from leaking out of my ears is that my body doesn't even have the energy to do that. So I'll make this brief. <3

Why so tired? I was up until 3 in the morning, working on my lovely new F/SN anime moodtheme. It's the first one I've made entirely on my own, and I'm pretty damn pleased with the results. All the characters are represented(with the exception of Zouken and True Assassin, who I couldn't find a good shot of and didn't show up at all respectively), although the ones I really dislike are only in one (Shinji, duh). I even got Bazette in there (okay, all you see is her arm, but it's her, so STFU), and she only appeared for .231231 seconds. And if you happen to noticed that Archer and Rin are especially well represented...well, I never said I wasn't biased. ;) I'll put the rundown of who appeared how many times later, but I have to say the one I am most proud of is this. Thank God for the Realta Nua commercials, otherwise it would have been impossible to include her.

Today is also the last day of the fsn_fiction April Challenge. Either Kat or I will set up the voting, so everyone get out there and vote, especially since there is more than one entry this time! *headdesk*

Also: I pronounce this as the most cracked out OP ever. Congrats, Lucky☆Star! But a big thanks to Azumanga Daioh and Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu for participating.
