The Big and Belated Post
Hahaha, there is one word and one word only to describe this post:

LATE

It's my own fault, really. I didn't want to do a Comic-Con post until my pics were developed-sadly,when I finally got them back, the great majority of them were fairly bad. Mostly the problem was they were really underlit, which goes to show the wisdom of buying the cheapest camera brand. -___-; Next year Kodak for sure!

Anyway, Con summary, then pics.
Highlights and Pics, for you! )

InuNeko Stamp! Doujinshi )

Cut for fear someone who knows me in RL will see this )

And dude, I was up for this. I thought was just imagining the floor vibrating. 0____0

Yakko Warner Is My Master Now
Best. Shakespeare. Analysis. EVER.
A Midsummer Night's Dream:

Here's Hamlet for good measure too, although I like the Midsummer Night's Dream one better:

Animaniacs aside, I think my boss is doing a passive-aggressive revenge for me asking the weekend off for Comic-Con. Seven straight days of work...@____@...at least this means my next paycheck won't be small.

That's right, by the way. From July 27th-29th, I'll be at Comic-Con International in San-Diego. I doubt anyone on my f-list will be there, but if you are, let me know! Meeting up would be fun. ;)

We've gotten one entry so far for the [info]fsn_fiction July challenge. There's still a little more than a week left, so I'm holding out hope for more entries, and will try to get one out myself.

Fanfic-wise, I haven't written anything myself recently, although I'm pleased to see that F/SN finally has it's own category at The Pit, and I've even started an Archer x Rin C2 community. I've been tossing around the idea of claiming Archer x Rin as a pairing for [info]30_kisses. It'll be tough, as I'm not yet totally confident with my handle on Archer as a character, or my ability to make his relationship with Rin true to canon, but I want to at least try. Claims are opening up again on August 1st, so I do have some time to think about it. Carpe diem and all that.

Ugh, I'm starving, and there's a really good garlic chicken CPK pizza in the freezer, practically begging to get eaten. But I'm so comfy on my bed...Decisions, decisions.

Edit: Fuck this, I'm hungry. *goes off to the kitchen to forage in a manner disburbingl similar to that of your average bear*

A Month in the Life
Jesus, it's been a long time, but between the incredible heat wave that was July and other real life crap, I haven' really had much motivation for ljing.

The big thing that happened was Comic-Con. Pretty awesome for the most part, mainly because I GOT TO MEET NOBUHIRO WATSUKI, GET HIS AUTOGRAPH, AND ASK HIM TWO QUESTIONS, HELL YEAH! My questions were pretty good too, I think. My first one (after I told him what I huge Saitou fan I am) was if he was planning a sequel or any more one shots to Rurouni Kenshin. He said no on both counts, but also said that if he did another story set in Meiji time, they would probably make a guest appearance. My other one had to do with the woefully underused Soujiro. I asked him if he meant for Soujiro to make another appearance(like in the Jinchu arc). Again, his reply was in the negative, saying that he felt Soujiro had been used to the extent he felt comfortable with in the story. Which is a shame, considering the Jinchu arc would have been a lot better with him in it, in my opinion. I also met hakubaikou of Hakubaikou.com while I was waiting in line for Watsuki's autograph(we were next to each other), and had an awesome time chatting about RK (neither of us are very fond of Kaoru for starters).

So Watsuki was the big one, but I also went to a few other panels, like the Shonen Jump panel(Watsuki's panel, actually), and the Shojo Beat one, because Matsuri Hino( manga-ka of the very pretty MeruPuri and Vampire Knight amoung others) was there. Sadly, I had to skip the Avatar panel to get Watsuki's autograph, a fate I could have avoided with better planning, seeing as he had a signing before the Avatar panel. Oh well.

I also got to meet Tycho and Gabe of Penny Arcade fame, and Scott Kurtz(a real cool guy who gave me a free copy of City of Villans) of PvP, two of my three favorite webcomics. Fred from Megatokyo was also there, but I missed seeing him, though I went to the Megatokyo booth.

Of course I spent a ton of money(though not all my savings as I currently hunting for a new job and they need to last), and got a ton of freebies as well. Always lots of fun! Unfortunatey, some of my stuff got left at the hotel, so I need to call them again to get the $50 worth of my stuff they still have.

In other news, my number of rps has grown steadily. Yoruchi and Chizuru at [info]no_air, Yoruichi and Unohana at [info]kara_uni, and Tsunade at [info]oshima_high. Plus I applied as Tsunami at [info]otomesei_high. I'm crazy, I know.

As for my writings, I have some stuff in the works. Hopefully I be coming out with a new chapter of Twelve Birthstones soon.

That's all I can think of-a pretty big update. Sooo tired though...

Death to the Phone!
ARRGH! Never have I wanted to kill an inanimate object so badly. Or if I have, it certainly has been a while. Stupid f**king phone, you COST ME MY CHANCE TO GO TO THE MARRIOT HOTEL AND MARINA CONVIENTLY LOCATED RIGHT NEXT TO THE CONVENTION CENTER THE COMIC-CON IS LOCATED IN? DO YOU KNOW WHAT THE ONLY PLACE AVAILABLE IS? THE F**KING HOLIDAY INN!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ALL BECAUSE YOU TURNED OFF WHILE I WAS ON HOLD!!!!!!!!!!!!! DAMN YOU!!!!!!!!!!!! IT'S ONLY BEEN 1 HOUR AND 42 MINUTES SINCE THE LINE OPENED UP AND I MADE THE RESERVATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!! YOU'VE CROSSED THE BORDER FROM STUPID TO LUDICROUS!!!!!!!!!

Sorry, I just needed to get that off my chest. Our phone is a stupid, barely working, old appliance that I am going to toss as soon as possible. It seems all our appliances are breaking down lately. Just two days ago, our microwave almost caught on fire. There were sparks people. Hopefully my shopping trip today will lift my spirits a little.

...It's a sad state of affairs when you're lucky to get a room at the Holiday Inn. The freakin' Holiday Inn. There's really only four bright spots to this entire thing. One, I actually got a room. Two, it's only 1 mile away from the convention center. Three, there's a shuttle that goes to said convention center. And four, at least it isn't Super 8 or Best Western.
